The tracks are a mix compilation of Dancehall songs with the Katana Riddim. Enjoy the selection and let me know what you think about the transitions.
Just started to mess around with some DJ Equipment that I received from some DJ. I also use Torq which works great in comparison to SSL. Its been reliable so far although I have not been performing live for several hours with it. However, I have had sessions for over 4 hours and it hasn't crashed or frozen on me yet. Here's a quick detailed spec on the equipment:
- Vaio Centrino Notebook with 1GB Memory
- MAudio Conectiv Torq & Software
- 2 Stanton C.304 CDjs
- Numark DM1050 Mixer
The cross fader on the Numark is totally gone but the rest works ok. I am just getting down with the basics, therefore excuse the lack of mixing experience. This combination of equipment may not be the preferred choice by most but it works fine for now.

i just saw the mix on youtube...it sounds tuff...im looking to start doing some mixing myself how difficult is it...
I bleieve its just tons of practice and a matter keeping the rythm. I wouldn't say its easy but with a passion you can do anything. what kind of music are you looking into?
dancehall...but i haven't bought any turntables yet...what do you recommend?
its best to learn on real turntables. you can probably get a used pair really cheap. cd turntables, also named cdj's usually cost alot but if you find a good deal then go for it
